Help me give my students the tools to learn all about the plant life cycle hands-on in the classroom! Students will be able to watch plants grow and learn how to care for them all on their own.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Welcome to LIFE Skills! This is a self-contained special education classroom for students with intellectual disabilities. We have grades 3-5 with a variety of different skills and levels. In my room, we focus on teaching academics in reading, writing, and math, as well as social skills, fine motor skills, and creativity.
With a small class of only 10 students, I am able to better differentiate my lessons and activities to fit each student and their individual needs.
Every day we are working to be better than the day before!
My Project
My students all have special needs and are working hard everyday on academic material. Studies show that planting a beautiful garden can be a great way to relieve stress in kids. This project will give them a "break" from all the hard work they are doing all day.
Students will use this greenhouse to watch the plant life cycle unfold right before their eyes.
We will learn about what materials you need to properly care for plants. They will be learning these skills during our science lessons in class. When they are able to see their garden grow it will be the most rewarding feeling for them.
