My Students

Welcome to the beginning of a lifetime of learning! That is the theme of my Kindergarten classroom where 23 five year olds begin to learn about this world, working together and using their creativity and reasoning skills to explore ideas that will lead to a life time of learning.

My classroom is a melting pot of ethnicity, economic status, ability levels and educational exposure but they all have one thing in common; they are excited to learn!

The beauty of teaching Kindergarten is that my students are like sponges, soaking in everything that I can expose them to. As a teacher, I must provide many different ways to meet the needs of my students while exposing them to all the mysteries of education.

My Project

My Kindergarten students use their tablets and headphones every day. Instructional time is often lost passing out tablets and untangling headphone cords. Chair organizers keep cords organized and tablets within reach, enabling students easy access so that they can focus on the educational task instead of becoming frustrated with preparation. The desk organizers also encourage organizational skills as students must be responsible for putting their classroom tools away properly. The desk organizers will also enable the teacher to be focused on meeting educational needs instead of worrying about straightening out earphone cords and passing out tablets. Meeting these needs ultimately saves instructional time which benefits everyone.
