My students need a teaching easel to help with whole group lessons. We use it to model and differentiate instruction. My students love coming up and teaching the class or explaining their work.

My Students
My students are an energetic group of learners. They come to school excited to learn, discover, and explore. We are a neighborhood school with a diverse population of students. The parents, teachers, and school community are dedicated to making sure my students have everything they need to meet the common core standards and more.
Whole group instruction is an integral part of our day.
It is a block of time where I can introduce key lessons and encourage my students to participate in collaborative conversations.
My Project
My classroom does not have a whiteboard or chalk board. A rolling teaching easel lets me model my lessons for my eager learners! and lets them share their own learning. Containers will help me keep our materials organized on the easel.
My students love playing teacher.
They are so excited to come and show their work by writing and explaining it on the whiteboard. This gives them many opportunities to focus on speaking and listening skills. Collaborative conversations are an important part of kindergarten and the easel will help students share and discuss the work that they are presenting.
We are able to use the magnetic portion to model math lessons using magnetic counters, ten frames, math racks and dominoes.
My students can also use the white board to model writing and we also can move it from table to table to help differentiate instruction.
