My Project
Students are hooked on their phones more than ever. These cell phone storage cabinets will be used in five different classrooms by our Math department. We find that some students have a hard time putting away their phones, or some just can't help but to reach for their phones constantly. With these clear storage cabinets, students will feel comfortable by having a save space to store their phones.
Without having to worry about their personal items, students will have the ability to focus in the classroom.
They won't have to worry about their phones going missing, because they're visible to them. By having a 'home' for their phones, students will be more mindful about cellphone usage during class if they would like to keep their phones on them. This is a great tool to help students focus in class!
Other essential items are added onto this project as well. Tracing papers are for students to construct and perform different transformations in geometry to gain better understanding, rather than merely memorization of the rules. Wall hooks will be used for students to display students' group work after brainstorming with group members.
This project is meant to help students stay focus in class, as well as engage students.
