Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting materials for STEM bins so that students become actively engaged as soon as they get into the classroom. This upcoming school year I will be working with a new grade level. With each age group come different needs. For this age group, I know that I will need to be able to pull them in and get their minds to work as soon as they come in each morning.
I am looking for an alternative to the traditional morning work routine.
By providing STEM bins, students will be able to choose an activity to begin working on each morning. They will have a task to complete, and they will also be responsible for making sure that the materials are ready for the next group. The bins can also be used for early finishers or indoor recess.
I have also requested flexible seating options so that students have a space to get excited about getting to work at.
