My Students

Our school is a Title I school with a diverse population of students who are on free or reduced lunch, economically disadvantaged, or at-risk.

These kids enjoy simple pleasures.

They get excited when a teacher brings popcorn at the end of a grading period to celebrate their achievements. They are very inquisitive and love discovering new things with little help. My students have the ability to amaze me every day. I know they will grow leaps and bounds with added resources in the class. I try to be a teacher who incorporates activities that are best for my students and not think only about what's best for me!

My Project

Reading comprehension is imperative when learning new skills. My goal as a teacher is to create thinkers to think beyond the text and show evidence of their understanding. A great way to connect the learning is with a transformation.

I've found my students are are fully engaged if we are playing a game or competing in a team challenge.

My goal is to carry the excitement and engagement throughout the lesson with classroom transformation. Students will become investigators and creators applying skills learned. Engagement is key when mastering skills. Each student will be 100% ready, focused, and having fun while learning!
