it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in an impoverished area my students need 21st century education supplies to be creative, innovative and have fun. My goal is to get students to incorporate technology and creativity to design and make three de mentionable figures and dioramas.
My goal is to have a room full of students who can use the engineering design process, Ask-Plan-Create-Improve to expand their learning.
Using a Cricut die cutter will allow my students to plan and design using computer software and then make their creations come to life.
My Project
My at-risk Title one students will be about to apply the Engineering Design Process with the use of our classroom Cricut machine. The will be able to IMAGINE what they want to make, PLAN, then DESIGN on the computer software, CREATE in real life, see what they can IMPROVE on, and ASK what they could do next.
Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Art all in one amazing classroom device.
Having a Cricut Die Cutter in the classroom will be a game changer. Using technology to make your imagination come to life-the possibilities are ENDLESS. Students will be able to create 3-D models using the Cricut and the Cricut accessories to help with understanding volume, area, and perimeter. They can create engineering and design challenges, make models for science and even use their designs to embellish projects and reports. They will be able to use the Elmer's Glue dots and the hot glue gun to keep their engineering creations together. All using the Cricut design space software.
The Pacon card stock and PrimeCut vinyl will allow my students to make what is in their heads come to life! With the glue dots and hot glue gun we will have the ability to create 3-D modes that hold together and stay that way.
Giving my at-risk students the tools to utilize 21st century technologies in today’s classroom is an imeasureable gift.
