My Students

Our class is full of superheroes who are eager to learn and share their awesomeness. We are a diverse mixture. We represent a range of ethnicities, socioeconomic backgrounds and abilities. Yet, all students are here to be the best they can be.

They are dreamers, thinkers, scientists, explorers, readers, writers, and authors.

They are creators and the leaders of tomorrow. They are friends and examples of all the good in the world. They are the reason I come to school each day.

My Project

The Chromebooks will allow my students the opportunity to become effective users of technology. The students will have daily access to the laptops to utilize online programs such as Wonders, Stepping Stones, Accelerated Reader, Typing Club, IXL, and Google Docs. Students will read e-books, play math games, sharpen their mathematical skills, and type their writing pieces. Frequent use of the laptops will increase students' familiarity with the programs and help the students to improve their keyboarding skills. The keyboarding skills will help students with online standardized testing in the upper grades.

These engaging and empowering tools will motivate students and be highly used.

The covers will help to increase the longevity of the Chromebooks. The colorful covers are so inviting that students will be eager to work on the laptops. Having the special covers will be a reminder of the special care we need to provide for the technology equipment.

The stools and chairs will provide flexible seating and allow student choice. Having a variety of seating options in addition to chairs lets students have a say in what works for them. The stools also help to improve balance and core strength. These alternate seating choices are also a novelty and will get kids excited no matter what task they are working on.
