This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of pom poms is a staple tool for a cheerleader. Using pom poms in the school to cheer on winning houses or in the street participating in a rodeo parade, they are essential. Pom poms make a cheerleader a cheerleader and with out them, it seems useless. We grew our team to 50 out of 200 applicants. We wanted to give as many girls a chance as we could. Now we need 76 new poms for all of our team. Without the poms I am almost sure many of these girls would not give a team sport a try. By having pom poms, students will be able to learn cheers and feel the real power of enthusiasm or cheer!

By donating to our project, you will not only help to the cheer experience for 50 young girls, you will ultimately help to increase their mental and physical health as they start a team experience.

Students will be able to cheer in pep rallys, the rodeo, and school events and not worry about if they have what it takes. Putting pom poms in their hands will result in empowered young girls who want to make the world a better place!
