Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are third graders who learn best in a collaborative environment. They are taught in a manner where peer discussions and group participation is highly encouraged. Every student is free to explore every corner of the classroom with accountability in order to promote comfort which is necessary for learning.
We are a data-driven school and we use Chromebooks to access our apps for better learning, especially during differentiated instruction.
Because of this, our students will need these headphones to listen to instruction and texts read through apps like i-Ready and SmartyAnts. Also, with these new materials for flexible seating arrangements, such as the lap desks and the bean bags, students will be able to collaborate more freely by being able to find a comfortable and safe place where they can freely express their ideas. We want to make sure we provide the most comfortable learning environment possible and the these materials, such as magnetic adhesive sheets, felt tip pens, colored dot stickers, knitting yarn, washi tape set, will be used in decorating the classroom. The pocket portfolios will be provided for the students to store their work, the clipboards will be used for writing, while the squishy toys will be used as class reward.
All these materials will be beneficial in providing a more conducive learning environment for our third grade students.
