Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

In my urban, third grade classroom, I have only one computer for a class of twenty-six students. Therefore, and unfortunately, computer activities are limited and it takes a while for each student to have an opportunity to use the computer in a given week. If we were to obtain at least one more, we of course would have twice as many students using the computer each week. In this computer driven world it is so necessary for children to begin to learn basic computer skills. They take such pride in typing something that they have written. At the same time, they have so much fun doing it. I am requesting one computer system. My class and I would greatly appreciate and benefit from having a second computer. I have educational software ready and waiting to be installed in a new computer! More importantly, 26 students are ready and waiting for their turns on that new computer!
