My students need two Fire 7 Kids Tablets to help them learn letters, numbers, letter sounds, as well as help them to begin to read, write, and learn social skills through social stories.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a first grade teacher in a Pre-K through 8th grade school. All of my students come from low income families, with 80% qualifying for free breakfast and lunch. My students are very inquisitive and eager to learn. We are engaged in our learning and are striving to become life-long learners.
My students are high-spirited and eager to learn.
My desire is my desire to give them the tools and inspiration they need to achieve their goals and succeed.
My Project
My first grade classroom has 19 students who are very high spirited and eager to learn. They all learn in both traditional and non-traditional ways. Hands-on learning is imperative to their success.
My students are naturally inquisitive and many are very technologically savvy, eager to learn and express themselves.
Having two Fire 7 Kids tablets will allow me to differentiate instruction at learning centers in order to meet the individual needs of each of my students. Using these devices, will allow my students to engage in learning activities which are designed to build on their strengths, thereby strengthening their weaknesses. Fire 7 Kids tablets are the perfect accommodation to facilitate this learning!
