My Students

I love teaching 5 and 6 year old Kindergarten students. I am in my ninth year of teaching at my school.

My kindergarten students are in a full day Kindergarten class at a Title I school in West Jordan, Utah.

They are inquisitive and love hands-on activities to learn literacy, math, and science skills.

They especially love morning Hands-on interactive activities, so this project will focus specifically on Literacy Center Activities. I am requesting hands-on learning materials perfect for 5-6 year old Kindergarten learners in Literacy Centers.

My Project

All activities will be used in the classroom during Kindergarten Literacy Centers. Young learners will be supported in differentiated ways with hands-on manipulatives to become future little Kindergarten readers and writers.

These Hands-on Learning Activities will be especially helpful for all English Language Learners.

English language learners need to have manipulatives to help them have concrete examples to learn essential Reading concepts.

My students especially love Literacy Centers where they can work independently or with peers in a center group and stretch and grow together. These activities will keep them actively and positively engaged in learning.
