Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are very eager to learn. They are optimistic, outspoken and loveable. They come from a low income, poverty area. Most students are 3 to 4 years below grade level. Due to the current pandemic, we are learning online. I am an instructional resource teacher.

Help me give my students materials and resources that will make their online experience productive and engaging.

My Project

Virtually learning can affect both teachers and students, mentally, emotionally and academically. Having an extra laptop and file cabinet, I will be able to monitor my class and teacher effectively as well as keep a well orginized classroom. The laptop can be used to present my lesson plans, PowerPoint presentation as well as used for professional develop meetings.

As a Special Education teacher and being in the virtual space, my paperwork has increased significantly.

Having a file cabinet will allow me to properly organize all my documentations needed for IEP meetings, student data reports, progress reports, etc.
