Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Within our district, students are scoring below the level in reading, writing, and spelling. Spot it is a great game that allows students to find common patterns. Games like this help students locate commonalities super fast, which is also a skill they need with math!
Reading, writing, and spelling skills are extremely important within our society, these items can help me better help them with forming these skills.
I can create stations that allow students to have fun while learning. These stations would use the following items; Paper organizer basket, CVC Word Writing & Spelling Flash Cards, Sound Boxes, Snap it Up, and Wooden CVC Word Spelling games.
Often students struggle with lined notebook paper, so I plan on putting the lined notebook magnetic paper on the whiteboard. This will help them to know exactly where to start every time they write!
