Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergarten students are always and will be my primary goal. Many of my students are from a very impoverished area in Florida. Upon ending the school for summer rejuvenation, we were asked to make a list of items that our incoming students will need to give to their parents as a supplies list school because school funds are low.
However, many of my students parents were not able to follow through on the basic essentials needed on the list.
My students need the essntial tools which are pencils and crayons and headphones and copy paper for homework.
I saw LA100DC - Early Reading Comprehension Bundle - Kindergarten that you were offering and I wanted that too, so at this point I am pleading on my knees.
My class also needs ink for the HP printer that was placed in the classroom for the class use in which we were told that we were responsible as far as ink supply. We only get two cartilages of ink per school year.
Another new year with amazing students looking toward the future with peering eyes and beaning ears.
My Project
My students are in dire need of the simplest items needed to prepare them for their daily needs in my classroom such as pencils, crayons, copy paper for homework practice plus ink the HP printer placed in the classroom. The administration expects me to have my students reading and writing before exiting kindergarten; however, when I go to them for supplies I have to beg for the simplest essentials to get them started in writing and reading such as pencils, crayons, copy paper for homework practice and reading materials for my students and it's not fair to the students. These materials are needed now....ASAP.
