My students need the sight word stamps to reinforce their sight words along with their fine motor skills! The Math In Flash! Discovery cans will be great to use during small group math instruction!
My classroom is a hub for diversity, from student's who have a military connection and have lived in a variety of places, to those with a more poverty type background, who may have never left the county. This is a multi-age classroom which includes a group of Kindergartners and First graders.
And regardless of their background, each student comes in ready to learn!
They are amazing thinkers and risk-takers, coaches to each other, and learners.....and giving them opportunities to be all of the above, is my job....They are amazing!
My Project
Our school serves Seymour Johnson AF base. Many of our military students move 3-4 times more often than their peers. These frequent moves and deployment of parents greatly impacts the emotional and academic growth of these students. As their teacher I need to understand these issues and be prepared with the best materials and strategies to meet their unique learning experiences. I want these students to be successful and your support would go a long way in meeting their academic needs.
My students need more hands-on exploration!
I want to them to use materials that will reinforce their fine motor skills along with their reading and writing! Creativity is the key to learning! Students will be able to use these materials to build and stamp words and practice language arts and math skills that reinforce whole group concepts! The alphabet magnetic letters kit will allow for ALL students to have enough letters to practice building words during small or large group instruction.
Sight word and letter stamping sets will allow for differentiated centers to take place during small group instruction. Students can focus on the words they need and practice fine motor skills by tracing the words after they stamp while others can focus on matching letters or building words!
Teaching Phonics Skills set along with the Build-a-Word and Pattern Block set cards will be used in conjunction with classroom literacy and math activities to make learning more exciting and challenging!
Using the Math in a Flash! Discovery cans will help reinforce small group math instruction during independent time. These will also be great to use with students who need that extra help on those math skills.
My students love to use dice, so the Ten Frames dice set will be great for math centers or small group instruction!
