This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have twenty five wonderful, creative, and inquisitive kindergarten students who are are actively building critical foundation skills necessary for their future academic success.

My students love learning.

My student enjoy listening to stories and discovering new words. My students enjoy investigating their surroundings as well as, counting everything that moves and does not.

Many of the students at my school come from low income families. Most of them are also English language learners. Despite these many challenges, my students come to school ready and prepared to learn.

My Project

My desire is to create a learning environment that is interactive, engaging that has exciting learning tools that encourages student to build important early reading skills.

Which is why , I am requesting your support in providing learning materials that will improve my students' reading and writing skills.

Students will be able to use nameplate trays that will display Sentence frames for easy reference when writing independent sentences. Students will be able improve their alphabet knowledge as they write words on Dry Erase Answer Paddles and build words using magnetic and stamping alphabet. The SnapWords (Sight Words) List A Pocket Chart Cards will be used to enhance their reading comprehension and fluency skills . The trampoline will be a fun and active way to celebrate my students reading gains . A new classroom calender will help the student build a better understanding of day, patterns, full dates and simplified dates. I plan to use the laminator machine to create reusable learning games that support the building of reading and math skills.
