Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love that my students want to learn how to read and write well. My district is very diverse and students of varying levels are in my class. This project helped to students to see how coding works, and that is another language.

Once the students listened to the videos and then started to create their logos they were thrilled.

A few had done coding before and they helped everyone who had trouble. The students became the teachers.

This was an awesome experience for the students and I.

My Project

We need comfortable chairs, where students can work in a group, pair or independently will help me as I transition into a Reading and Writing Workshop model.

Students will love and respond well to the choices they will have because of this project.

They will be invested in their work because they have choice. My classroom will be transformed because of this donation. There will be more room for the students to learn in different classroom setting, without desks in rows.

I have started to change to setup of our room, but need help to add needed furniture to make our space unique and inviting.
