As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Many of the students come from immigrant families. Despite the challenges they face, I look forward to providing them with exciting and meaningful learning experiences.
My students love to be active and enjoy coming to school each day.
They look forward to learning the Whole Brain Teaching way and using what they have learned outside of the classroom, too. The minute they walk into the classroom, I focus on their potential growth and encourage them to do their best. Although I can't change what they experience outside of the classroom, I do my best to make sure I provide them with meaningful learning experiences.
The Lucy Caulkins Readers Workshop curriculum would help my students greatly. We currently use the Lucy Caulkins Writers Workshop curriculum on a daily basis. I have seen my students grow as writers over the past few months. I would also love to see their growth as life long readers.
Did you know that we spend most of our day reading and analyzing what we read?
The materials from readers workshop will help us do just that. I am teaching a classroom full of enthusiastic readers and want to give them all that they deserve. By using this curriculum, I can align their writing with their reading and really connect the dots!
