My Project

The proposed project will be led by my students and the students in other classrooms. The goal is to give each family that comes to family literacy night get a book at our literacy night to take home and enjoy. We will make posters and flyers to promote our literacy night and hang them up within the community. The whole community is invited. We seek to create a supportive and engaging reading environment for my students within their homes where literacy is promoted within the community .Getting students and community involved in literacy activities will help emphasis the importance of of reading. We want to see the community involved and for literacy to be a positive experience. This initiative aligns with our goals to increase community involvement while promoting literacy. This would be an enriching and positive experience for the community and student. It truly takes a village to educate a child. Want you help us?
