Help me give my students books. The boys in my school want to read about boys and men. They want to read about magic and role models. The books I have chosen are for the boys.

My Students
My Middle School students love to read! I am their school librarian! We have a diverse population of highly creative students. They really like to read books that are realistic fiction, graphic novels, and books about people like themselves.
We have really developed some fantastic relationships in the library as we bonded over books.
Their behavior has been fantastic in their classes and they miss the library. With over 85% of our students on free lunches, these students don't have books at home and rarely get to the public library. They rely on their school library to get books
The age range for these students is grades 6-8. They really enjoy diverse literature and having a special time to read with their friends and discuss the books. I see more of them taking out the same books so they can discuss them together. I wish I had more time with them.
My Project
I have had a Mug Club reading club for a few years now and there has never been enough boys in attendance. I want to use books that will peek the boy's attention to reading and give them the opportunity to read about male role models and many different genres of literature. Many of them enjoy reading together so our goal is to get the students together during their free time for some reading. I have chosen 2 books that I think they will enjoy, knowing that they love books about people like themselves.
