This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We want to create as many school wide functions that invites the community to come and enjoy different activities. Our fourth graders and their families get to come to a special even called Reading Under the Stars.
We promote this fun event to encourage finding the joy in reading.
Students get to grab a flashlight and read under the stars. This year the event had to be pushed back later in the year. This means there will be no stars outside, so the event needs to be moved inside. We still want to read under the stars, we just need to get a little creative. With your donation we will be able to make this happen! Please help us continue this fun and engaging event to bring our students and their families to the joy of reading.
