Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are 6th, 7th and 8th graders that need targeted support in reading comprehension skills and vocabulary instruction. They work with me in small groups and participate in the generation of their reading goals. The requested materials will be used to move students forward in reading by improving engagement, bolstering confidence, and aiding in the instruction of specific targeted skills.
All these materials will help engage students in small reading intervention groups.
Calming strips will provide students the option for centering their minds during learning. The giant activity dice will make reading instruction interactive, allowing students to engage in meaningful conversations during reading intervention. The comprehension board games will help students apply their learning.
