My Project
Dear donor,
I recently started working at a low-income school in the deep east of Oakland, CA, near the Coliseum, that serves mostly Black, Hispanic, and Arabic families.
Our school is a focal school, which means the success rate of our students is lower than average, so there is a great push to modify the curriculum, train teachers, and collect data.
Parents don't have many tools to help their children learn to read at home—language barriers, low income, and odd work hours limit at-home study. Please give this special Hooked on Phonics Learn to Read set to them so they can bolster and reinforce their developing reading skills at home!
