Help me give my students a variety of books at different levels . These book kits and individual books will keep students motivated, interested, and engaged in reading in school and at home.
My students are an enthusiastic, engaged, and inquisitive group of 4th graders. I have quickly learned that my class considers their reading time as one of their favorite parts of the day. Students read independently or with a teacher from a book at their reading level on topics of their choice.
I love that my students are developing an appreciation of reading across a variety of topics.
Our school is in Cleveland, Ohio only a few blocks from the shores of Lake Erie. Our class is a class of English language learners from four different continents. This class comes together with diverse backgrounds and experiences, which makes everyday a learning opportunity in so many ways.
My Project
These carefully selected books and materials will provide students with more choices, engaging titles, and leveled books that they can read in the classroom and at home. I have chosen these materials with the kids in mind. The items in this project represent the student interests and independent reading levels. My students range from emerging readers to chapter book readers, and I want to provide the depth of library to keep students interested and motivated to read every day.
My students will be eager to and able to read independently at home and at school as a result of this project.
My students are developing a passion for reading that will last a lifetime. This project will enrich their experience with reading.
