Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every student in my classroom is an artist. My students come from diverse backgrounds representing more countries than you could imagine. In our classroom, we learn not only by creating art, but by analyzing art from the past and present, and reading about the lives and work of the artists.
Artists in my classroom are inspired to create and persevere through challenges by not just learning about artwork created, but by learning about the lives of the artists themselves.
These books will also make learning about artists more accessible to all artists in my room because some of them are in Spanish and English. The artists in my school learn each day in both English and Spanish!
During class, we read aloud together, and then gather paper to create! These books would provide ideas and inspiration, and the paper will get us started with our creations!
