Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend a Title I school. This school has amazing families and students; however, financially, many of them struggle. My students are hard working and excited to learn. COVID 19 has created some challenges in learning, but they are persevering and working hard to learn more and more each day. My students are respectful and responsible. They are awesome!

My Project

These books and magazine subscriptions will give my students more access to non fiction reading materials at their level. These reading materials will add to our social studies and science lessons. They will allow students to learn more about the world around them while improving their literacy skills.

These reading materials are high interest and will encourage students to read more.

They will also be gray resources to send home after we have read the articles in class allowing the learning to continue at home. Right now, do to COVID, my students are needing reading practice and I believe these resources will help improve their reading.
