Help me give my students the opportunity to explore the world around them by reading current events in Scholastic News. They also need seat sacks.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are from a Title I school in Nevada. Over 70% of the student population at my school qualify for free or reduced- priced lunch. Some of my students come from low socioeconomic households and lack enrichment activities or literacy at home. These opportunities have not been available to students because parents don't have the resources available to help their kids. Therefore, it's crucial for all my students have those experiences available at school.
My students are very eager to learn and love to explore.
They love our school and work very hard each day. They come to school each day with a smile ready to learn.
My Project
The Scholastic News articles will help enhance my student's understanding of the world around them. The news articles will provide additional literacy content to increase student's reading comprehension, stamina, and love of reading. Furthermore, the articles will be taken home so that students can have additional reading resources at home.
Using Scholastic News articles will allow students to be well informed about current events on varying topics that peak their interests.
The interest in content within the news articles will invoke discussions among students. The articles will also broaden their horizons and hopefully peak their interests on content or subjects they would have otherwise never been exposed to.
Furthermore, I'm also asking for seat sacks for my students. The seat sacks will help provide a convenient accessible area for my students to store their news articles. These sacks are crucial in my classroom because I have tables and they will allow students to have literature at ams reach.
