My Project
What I love most about my students is their enthusiasm for reading! With this project, I can introduce them to a whole new genre—graphic novels—expanding their reading experiences and deepening their love for books in an exciting and engaging way.
Graphic novels are 'all the CRAZE' among middle-grade students right now.
Through this unit, I aim to foster a deeper love for reading among my students. By incorporating graphic novels, students will develop essential skills for reading and analyzing complex texts. These engaging books offer unique learning opportunities that traditional novels cannot, allowing students to interpret meaning through both text and visuals, infer between illustrations, and explore how authors and illustrators work together to tell powerful stories beyond just words.
