My Project

As an educator, I believe that every student deserves the opportunity to become a confident, capable reader. By deepening my understanding of the Science of Reading through targeted professional development books, I will strengthen my ability to deliver instruction that is explicit, systematic, and research-based.

These resources will equip me with strategies to support all learners—especially those who struggle with decoding, fluency, and comprehension—by providing practical tools I can implement immediately.

I will use what I learn to design lessons that are engaging, data-driven, and aligned with how the brain learns to read.

The impact will extend beyond my own growth. My students will benefit from lessons that break down complex skills into manageable steps, foster a love of reading, and build the foundation for lifelong learning. This professional development will ensure that every child in my classroom has the skills and confidence to succeed, both in school and beyond.
