The above dossier can be read and comprehended by many. However, the difficulties with accurate and fluent word recognition, poor spelling and decoding ability, and reading comprehension will lead to growth in school dropouts and a decline in high school graduation statistics. What educational level did the mom speaking above likely achieve? Will she be able to assist her own children in attaining the educational goals that will enable them to succeed? Since Reading is truly the root of all learning we need to provide life's self sustaining skills at a very early age.
Our parish is expressing a desire to address cognitive abilities via multi-sensory learning, and the phasing in of a program called D.I.B.E.L.S. To overcome problems in reading many children need specific training routines on an on-going basis. For such interventions to thrive we need reliable Language Arts materials.
I have discovered intervention products called “Reading Rods: Learning to Read is a Snap.” The variety of durable materials will facilitate intervention centers for all of our Kindergarten through third grade learners for years to come. Of course, all students will benefit from the intervention program, for fluent reading and comprehension at an early age will remain with them for a lifetime. Thank you for your support, and desire to have our children reading.
