Do you remember when you were just learning to read and how you read everything around you? Well my students are struggling readers who are missing the basic skills of reading.
Our class is a group of 16 cognitively impaired struggling readers.
They are in the seventh and eighth grade but are really struggling to read. Currently they are at the beginning stages of reading and have not mastered all their sounds. This eager group of students really want to be able to read.
My Project
The resources we are requesting are a major component of the Wilson Reading System. The Wilson Reading System is a multisensory reading program that is researched based and yields amazing results. It gives the students the strategies they need to become successful readers in school and life. Unfortunately our budget has been cut due to the tough economic times and we are unable to purchase the needed supplies.
Won't you consider helping these struggling readers?
Give them a chance to succeed in school and life. Through your donation our students will learn to be strong, fluent readers. This is a skill that will change their lives forever. It is through donors like you that our students will succeed!
