This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My goal with the books I am hoping to get for my students' library is to ensure they all feel included and represented through a diverse set of characters and backgrounds.
I also hope to provide social emotional learning through these books. The school I work in has one of the highest poverty levels in our district. We have a lot of students who could greatly benefit from receiving social-emotional support through not only direct learning but also through the books they read to support their problem-solving tools and their social interactions.
