This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are very engaged in reading, and love to go places in their heads when they read. They love stories realistic fiction stories because they like stories that could be true.

The War That Saved My Life is a book that my student will love reading because of it talks of overcoming obstacles and we have obstacles in our own lives.

They will learn about Ada who has a handicap and has to navigate WW2 in the countryside of England.

This book helps students understand that we all have struggles but if we work hard we can overcome them. I hope DonorsChoose will see this is a must read for all 4th graders!
