My Project
My students love to read and learn about the world around them. However, the last 2 years has been difficult, with learning at home, a lot of absences due to illness or quarantine. This has resulted in many students lacking the foundations that are necessary for reading success--comprehensive instruction in phonics and decoding skills.
UFLI Foundations is an explicit and systematic phonics program that introduces students to the foundational reading skills necessary for proficient reading.
It follows a carefully developed scope and sequence designed to ensure that students systematically acquire each skill needed and learn to apply each skill with automaticity and confidence.
All I need is the manual with detailed lessons and activities to go with the free digital resources provided by the program. Also, the ink refills will allow me to print out colorful posters that chart the patterns of letters and sounds that students can use as reference in their reading and spelling every day.
