As a first year teacher in a third grade classroom, I am still trying my best to collect supplies for my students in order to further their learning. Being my first year in third grade, I haven’t yet met my students, but I am so excited to help these children as much as I can. I am expecting a very diverse classroom this year with several ESOL students as well. The students coming into third grade this year are strong leaders with a desire to learn. With these materials, I know we will have a very successful year!
I simply want what is best for my students and for them all to have the same resources, and we need some help to make that happen!
My Project
We are asking for several different materials for our wonderful third grade. This year, I have a class full of readers, we are asking for mini flashlights so we can participate in 'read around the room' activities. The students will love being able to explore their books in a variety of settings- including reading in the dark with flashlights! This will also help make reading more fun for those who don't enjoy it as much.
We are also asking for some STEM building supplies.
My students LOVE challenging hands-on activities. STEM materials are perfect for this! They are also perfect for those students who need some enrichment after lessons.
We are also asking for some classroom supplies like pens, Sharpies, markers and a small class lamination machine for some of our projects.
