My students need the portable CD Players for reading stations. The students will listen to stories while following along with their book. This will allow them to practice listening and comprehension skills.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

1st graders will fill the classroom with different personalities, learning styles, and backgrounds. Each student brining a special talent to share with others. All of them excited and eager to learn. They will learn how to count to 120, read and comprehend literature, and we can't forget life skills like using appropriate manners, disagreeing appropriately and of course embracing differences.

My first grade students attend a Title I school in Phoenix.

They come from neighborhoods similar to where I grew up. I understand the needs that goes beyond our classroom. These projects help us educate the entire child.

My Project

The Portable CD Players will serve two purposes in our classroom. Two of the Portable CD Players will be used as a reading station for students. This will allow for students to practice their listening and comprehension skills.

The 3rd Portable CD player will be sent home with students to reinforce what they are working on in the classroom.

This will allow for students and parents to listen and discuss different stories.

This is beneficial to our students and will help them to build their vocabulary bank, increase their listening and comprehension skills and allow for them to practice reading skills like tracking print from left to right.
