My Project

I have a room full of eager learners who are learning how to read. We have a classroom library with leveled books, but my students need the opportunity to bring books home to continue their learning. These books need to be on a level that the students are able to read in order to build their confidence.

Learning at school and practicing at home equals success!

One of the things I hear from parents is that they need books that students can read alone. Working in an inner-city school means our families are not always able to provide things like books. COVID has only made this problem worse. Families are struggling to meet basic needs and books are a luxury for some.

My students deserve the opportunity to continue their learning at home and grow as readers!
