My Project

In order to read fluently, readers have to decode unknown words. The decodable books in this project will help students make connections between the sounds they are learning and the words they are learning to read and write.

The decodable books selected for this project will help children practice a particular letter-sound pattern.

Reading decodable books also help emerging readers become confident in their reading abilities. Students can apply their phonetic skills to the stories they are reading. This helps them gain confidence and this builds their interest in reading.

The book bags will allow the children to bring the books to and from school without getting damaged.
