My Students
My students attend school in an inner city, Title I school district. Our school has had funds reduced every year and this has taken a huge toll on everyone, students and teachers alike. I have purchased a lot of supplies on my own, but I need help with some of the other items that can be beneficial to my students. With the new health guidelines, our classroom is in need of additional supplies to help keep everyone safe.
The library has strict guidelines about books being used in the school's library.
I would like to add some new books to my library so they students have a range of books to be reading during class and at home. Due to the COVID guidelines books have to be sanitized and quarantined before they can be reused. This makes my book options spread thin.
My Project
The students need to be able to read books during the day whether at home or school. These books will give them the opportunity to read whenever they want to. The shortage of books due to the pandemic is limiting the supply of books available to read. Please help me add to my class library so children can read throughout the day during school, and at home over the weekends! They needs books ready and waiting instead of them waiting for a book. Please help give me the supplies to encourage reading!
