Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The book racks and carpet that I am requesting will give my students a lovely designated area in the classroom where they can feel invited and easily view books to choose from the book racks. It will not only motivate my students, but encourage their peer reading time with other classmates. I would like to cultivate a calm reading are in my classroom where I can share my wonderful collection of picture books which are stored in bins, and that are in such of a huge need of a beautiful showcase display to inspire my students to engage in the joy of reading.
Our new Classroom Library Area will not only inspire easy book choices for my students, be that as it may, also give my students the confidence and comfort of resting on the carpet to share their books with their classmates.
Having this Sanctuary Book area in our classroom will easily draw my students' curiosity to engage in the pleasure of independently choosing, reading, and resting on our classroom bean bags to share story books with peers, or furthermore, they can feel at ease to take solitude in a calming designated space in the classroom, especially, when the school day might have become too overwhelming. The Sanctuary Book area will provide my Special Needs Students a lovely and comforting area for downtime while browsing through great picture books. My classroom books are tailored for all primary grade levels as well as a beautiful assortment of sensory books and Squishmallows reading stuffed buddies.
