This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 4th grade students are curious, creative, and full of energy. Many of them come from underserved communities and thrive best in classrooms that are structured, inclusive, and calm. This project will help us build a warm and organized learning space where students can focus, collaborate, and feel safe to grow. The classroom rugs will define reading and discussion areas, giving students a consistent and welcoming place to gather. The class set of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane will allow every student to read along, engage in shared discussions, and strengthen their love of literature.

These materials will directly support classroom management and literacy goals for the year.

Headphones, clipboards, folders, and visual tools like privacy boards and carpet spot markers will help students work independently and stay engaged. I want every student to feel ownership of their space and pride in their work. With your support, we can create a peaceful, inspiring classroom that makes every child feel seen, valued, and ready to learn.
