Reading Romantasy: YA Novels for HS English

My Project

My students are craving stories filled with magic, mystery, and romance—and romantasy novels are the perfect way to meet them where they are and ignite a love of reading. These books combine the emotional depth of romance with the thrilling escapism of fantasy, offering characters they can root for and worlds they can get lost in.

With your support, I will build a classroom library filled with young adult romantasy titles that are diverse, imaginative, and high-interest.

From forbidden love in magical kingdoms to fierce protagonists fighting fate, these books will hook even the most reluctant readers. They’ll not only encourage reading for pleasure, but also support skills like comprehension, vocabulary development, and literary analysis.

My high schoolers deserve stories that excite them—and these novels will do just that. Thank you for helping bring the magic to our classroom!
