Reading Rockstars

My students need a leveled classroom library. With 28 first graders all at different reading levels, they need a book that is a perfect fit!

My Students

Help us become Reading Rockstars! It is challenging for first graders to feel confident when they are beginning readers. Help me provide every child in my classroom with a "just right" book for them to thrive and grow with!

Some of my students come from homes that do not have any books.

Teaching in an urban school district, it is important to me to expose my students to as many books, genres and levels that I can. My students attend a large school with large classroom sizes. It would be extremely beneficial to them if they had access to a variety of books right inside their own classroom.

My Project

With a leveled library, I will be able to enrich each child's literacy abilities in my classroom. The library will allow me to teach each student at their own individual level and provide them with appropriate reading material. With this type of library, every student will be able to leave my classroom as a confident reader.

Any donations will make a huge difference in my students' lives.

First grade is a crucial year in a child's education. If we can turn every child into a reader with this library, it will make a difference in the rest of their education. As a second year teacher, you will be helping many students for years to come!
