My Students
My third-grade students go to a wonderfully diverse and collaborative public school in Brooklyn, New York. Our school works hard to help our students become problem solvers, creative thinkers, and socially responsible citizens of their community and the world.
My students are avid readers of chapter books who love reading stories about interesting and relatable characters!
I want to stock my classroom library with as many wonderfully exciting, challenging, and engaging books as possible, in the hopes that my students will build a love of reading that will turn them into lifelong bookworms. My students are highly motivated learners who work hard every day in order to reach their learning goals and beyond!
My Project
My students need series books so that they can fall in love with new and exciting characters! My 3rd-grade book lovers are devouring the books in our classroom library and are desperate for more.
My students are passionate about reading and are always looking to get their hands on new books!
Given that my students read independently for 50+ minutes a day, they are flying through books this school year. Acquiring these new series and sets of books will allow my students to explore great children's literature and become re-energized about reading and further invested in their own growth. Furthermore, these additional books will allow my students to engage in more independent reading, which is a crucial time for them to become stronger readers and deeper thinkers.
I want to feed their enthusiasm for reading by providing them with various chapter book series that will capture each of their individual interests!
