My Project
These materials will help my pre-kindergarten students retell familiar stories during small-group and center activities. Many of my students come from homes where two or more languages are spoken. English is not their first language, so these materials will help their English Language Development. Using big books and puppets will help promote language and also introduce them to story retelling skills.
As I work with my ELL students, I want to make sure they can retell stories confidently and in an engaging way using these puppets and retelling cards to help build oral language development. These stories are connected to the curriculum, and we will be able to make connections throughout the day to make language comprehensible. All of my students come from homes where two or more languages are spoken. These materials will help build English Language Development.
