Reading Rocks in Our Room

My Students

The students in my classroom are super excited about learning, and they have a love for reading and math that warms a teacher's heart. They are full of questions and love learning anything new. These students put their all into their learning and are constantly looking for new ways to solve problems. Their dedication and drive are inspiring, and I am a better teacher because of them. We are located at a Title I school in rural South Carolina. We have a wonderful school community!

My Project

The materials in this project will help my students build their knowledge of phonics and reading comprehension in fun, engaging ways! Many of my students need extra practice with phonics to help them become better readers. The games and activity centers in this project will help me to make that instruction much more fun for fifth graders. The reading comprehension notebook will help my students practice reading grade level passages and answering different types of comprehension questions. All of these materials will help grow my students into the readers I know they are. By giving them the confidence in their reading, I can help them find a true love of reading that will never leave them.
