My Project

My classroom is in need of good books that will help with reading and teach my students social and emotional skills. The headphones provide students with a way to concentrate and focus on reading. They also help calm students who are dysregulated.

Good books that are fun and engaging spark students' interest in reading.

The goal of this project is to provide books and tools to help students to be successful readers. The idea is to provide enough books in the classroom that they are interested in to help them be excited about learning and reading. I plan to use these books during center time or during a teacher-read read-aloud time.

My first-grade students are bright, studious, and creative. They love to read and to learn. They need more challenging books to help them to thrive. Some students have sensitivity to sound and the headphones will help them to feel comfortable and safe in the classroom environment. When students are comfortable, then they will learn and read better.
