My Project
I love that my students are highly motivated to learn and continue to grow! They have already made serious gains with their reading scores this year, but I want to motivate them even further. We have started a few reading competitions this year, allowing each student to win based on their individual reading level. When they are reading, they are winning, but I'd like to sweeten the pot with incentives such as toys and snacks!
The items funded for the students will make a difference in their learning by motivating them to work towards different-sized rewards based on their individual goals and how they reach them.
My goal for this project is to continue to cultivate a culture of readers that support each other's success and understanding. My students, who all have an Individual Education Plan (IEP), are the most dedicated group of students I have ever worked with and not only deserve rewards, but I also hope that it encourages continued success toward literacy.
